HEARING FROM GOD-A lot of times when we're busy we don't stop to take time to process what we're experiencing. As a improvising musician, when we hear a song we've not played before, we have to quickly hear the chords and also discern the spirit of the moment in order to play the right stuff in the right places within milliseconds. Well, one can execute a skill like this well only if they've spent a lot of time privately practicing on various chord changes and studying melodies, etc.
The same applies to hearing the voice of the Lord when you're experiencing things. The Holy Spirit is always there and ready to speak but your heart has to be in a posture to receive and apply what you receive from Him. It's just like creating music on an instrument, you hear stuff and then you play what you hear within the current moment of the song. What we play makes and impression on those we are playing with and those listening.
If "YOU AIN'T HEARING NOTHING" Think about it, what have you been listening to? Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. So much like how when one meditates on various musical aesthetics you get more ideas, the same applies to building your faith. When you meditate on the Word of God and "shed" with others in the faith through fellowship, your faith will increase and get stronger.
Don't over complicate stuff when it comes to spiritual things. YOU KNOW who got the real thing and who doesn't! You can hear it or discern it just like you can hear if a player or song has soul or not. Don't let the devil confuse you! God's work through His people is still alive, well, and striving! You just have to open your eyes and ears to it.
Rom 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Psa 1:1
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Psa 1:2
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Psa 1:3
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
May the Lord be with you,
